Daniel Ray Jochim, 58, Huntingburg

Daniel Ray Jochim, 58, of Huntingburg, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born May 6, 1957, in Huntingburg to Oliver Ray and Elsie Marie (Werne) Jochim.

Mr. Jochim was employed as an extrusion operator at Spencer Industries and was a member of the Huntingburg V.F.W. Post #2366. He served in the United States Navy as a torpedoman’s mate for two terms of active duty.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by one son, Eric Jochim of Huntingburg; one daughter, Danielle Jochim of Jasper; one brother, Frank Jochim of Huntingburg; one sister, Mary Wright of Arizona; and one grandson, Little Ray Jochim.

Memorial services for Daniel R. Jochim will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST the Sunday after next, on February 21st, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with military rites conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2366 Memorial Detail.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Chapel from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21st, prior to the memorial service.
