Daniel “Danny” Barnett, 46, Velpen

Daniel “Danny” Barnett, 46, of Velpen, passed away at 11:29 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at his residence.

He was born May 29, 1975, in Huntingburg to Donald and Robin (Huckelby) Barnett.

He married Beverly Chandler on March 15, 2018. 

Danny was a machinist specializing in tool sharpening. He enjoyed working in his garage on cars and trucks. He was a member of the Jasper Moose Lodge #1175. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Barnett.

Danny is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Barnett of Velpen; four children, Faith (fiancé, Colin Bowling) Barnett of Evansville, Gavin Barnett of Jasper, Colton Schmitt of Velpen, and Ethan Barnett of Velpen; his mother, Robin Barnett of Velpen; one sister, Crystal (companion, Darron Shoults) Barnett of Loogootee; and his niece/nephew, Jade and Wyatt.

Friends are invited to a memorial gathering in celebration of Danny’s life to be held at the Ruritan Community Center in Otwell from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. EDT on September 19, 2021.
