Fire destroys Dale home

Carter Township Fire Chief Dan Reinke reports a fire gutted and destroyed a house in Dale at around 8 a.m. morning in the 200 block of West Maple Street.
Reinke said that Pam Lowe was the only occupant in the residence when the fire started, but was able to get out safely.
He reports that the fire appears to be electrical in nature and that it started in the bathroom ceiling.
The home belonging to Pam and her husband Rondey Lowe was destroyed. After firefighters determined the fire was going to destroy the home, they began to pull many valuables and keepsakes from the house. Photos, memorabilia and valuables were targeted by the firefighters who were able to save about half the home’s contents.
The Lowes are staying with family at this time.
Three trucks and nine firefighters from Carter Township were on scene along with seven firefighters from Santa Claus and six from Jackson Township.
