Cyril H. Mundy, 70
Cyril H. Mundy, age 70 of Bretzville, Indiana, passed away at 6:12 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013, at his home of cancer.
Cyril was born in Ireland, Indiana on March 24, 1943 to Romuald and Clara (Buschkoetter) Mundy.
He married Irma Kluemper on October 12, 2001.
Cyril was the owner of the ad specialty business – Mainstream Enterprises Inc. He worked in sales at Agri-Central and Sternberg Chrysler Center. He also drove a semi truck for several years and served in the Indiana National Guard.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He was a past president of the Ireland Lions Club, past director of the Jasper Outdoor Recreation Club, past treasurer of the Ireland Sportsman Club, past governor and treasurer of the Jasper Moose, and past treasurer of the Legion of the Moose.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards and dice games, dominos, and camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Kluemper-Mundy of Bretzville; three daughters, Bonnie Meadows and her husband Bob, of Ireland, Debbie Schmitt and her husband Curt, of Ireland, and Jane Bonifer and her husband Phil, of Ireland; one son, Rodney Mundy and his wife Kim, of Ireland; one step-daughter, Lisa Voges and her husband Allen, of Bretzville; two step-sons, Scott Kluemper and his wife Annette, and Kevin Kluemper and his wife Rebecca, both of Monrovia, Ind.; nine grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren; four brothers, Sylvester Mundy and his wife Rosie, of Huntingburg and Vincent Mundy and his wife Grace, of Melbourne, Fla., Melvin Mundy and his wife Mary, of Jasper, and Kenneth Mundy and his wife Marilyn, of Ireland.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Funeral services for Cyril H. Mundy will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow at a later date at Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The Jasper Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
