Cristi A. Denning, 60, St. Meinrad

Our angel, Cristi A. Denning, 60, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at her home in St. Meinrad.

She was born August 26, 1961, in Tell City, the daughter of the late James Denning and Bobbie Denning Morris.

Cristi attended Franklin School, worked at SIRS Inc and had many career endeavors. Her biggest accomplishment was being a teacher. She was a teacher to all. She taught us all unconditional love.

She loved spending time with friends and family. She loved traveling especially on the Love Boat. She had received her platinum status of 20 carnival cruises.

She was the life of the party everywhere she went. She had a huge presence and has touched the lives of so many around the world. She loved dancing, singing karaoke, cheering for Jungle Cats and attending the Night to Shine Prom. She was a princess everywhere she went and would sport her crown as often as possible.

She enjoyed McDonald’s, purple coke and socializing.

Christi is survived by her sisters, Sheryl (Kevin) Schaefer of St Meinrad, Susan (Terry) Denning of Devils Elbow, MO, and Laura (Joe) Baldwin of Lexington, Kentucky; nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Denning and Ricky Denning.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Kayla Ray officiating. The burial will be in Birdseye Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jungle Cats or Special Olympics.
