Here are options for you if you are seeking help or simply need someone to talk to about your unique situation.

Do you need suicide prevention, help with substance misuse, or a mental health crisis? Then call or text the Suicide and Crisis Hotline at 988.

A crisis line specific to LGBTQ+ young people is The Trevor Project. Friends and allies also are
welcome. Those who reach out to this number will reach an LGBTQ+-affirmative contact. Call
the Trevor Lifeline at 866-488-7386. Chat at TheTrevorProject.org. To text, text “Start” to 678-
678.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Teen and Young Adult Helpline is available on weekdays
from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern. Call 800-950-6264, text “friend” to 62640 or log in to
NAMI.org/talktous.

Feeling isolated and alone? Wanting to communicate with a peer rather than a clinician? Need a
safe, judgment-free person to listen? At http://www.warmline.org, you can find warm lines in your
state and others. In Indiana, KEY Consumer Organization out of Indianapolis runs a warm line at
800-933-5397.
