Cornelius J. “Neil” Seng, 98, Dubois
Cornelius J. “Neil” Seng, 98, of Dubois, passed away at 11:57 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020, in the Timbers of Jasper.

Neil was born in Dubois on December 7, 1921, to John and Anna (Fromme) Seng.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving during World War II and was a recipient of the National Defense Ribbon. He previously was a timber cutter and retired from Jasper Corporation, where he had been a night watchman. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois, Indiana, and the V.F.W. Post #673. He enjoyed playing cards, especially, Cinch and gin rummy, hunting turtles, fishing, squirrel hunting, and gardening.
He is survived by 29 nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are three sisters, Ruth Merkel, Mary Margaret Linne, and Sr. Cuthbert, O.S.B., four brothers, Sylvester “Colie”, Matthew, Urban, and Linus Seng, two nieces, Jacqueline Seng and Mary Beth Fawks, and one nephew, Walter “Wally” Linne.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Cornelius J. “Neil” Seng will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Dubois, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The VFW Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Wednesday. Masks and social distancing will be required.
