Constance E. “Connie” Pfeffer, 97

Constance E. “Connie” Pfeffer, 97, of Jasper, passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Connie was born in Jasper, Indiana on May 9, 1918, to George and Frieda (Gutgsell) Baunach. She married Revard J. “Riff” Pfeffer on February 16, 1939, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1965.

Connie was a homemaker and worked at United Cabinet (now Masterbrand) for 25 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, the Jasper D of I, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Alles and her husband Bob of Jasper and Bev Werner and her husband Don of Jasper; one daughter-in-law, Sue Pfeffer of Longview, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Eric Hedinger, Revard Pfeffer, Kevin Hedinger, Brian Werner, Kristi Pierson, Stacy Werner, Angie Traylor, Paul Hedinger, Todd Werner, Keith Pfeffer, Michael Alles, and Natalie Alles; 22 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are one daughter, Carol Hedinger, one son, Ronald Pfeffer, one son-in-law, Donald “Butch” Hedinger, one great grandson, Roman Pfeffer, and three sisters, Cornelia Stemle, Bernadette Lechner-Grannan, and Huberta Kippenbrock.

Funeral services for Constance E. “Connie” Pfeffer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
