Connie J. Evans, 64, Huntingburg

Connie J. Evans, 64, Huntingburg, passed away on Monday morning, August 22, 2016, at her home.

She was born January 7, 1952, in Abilene, Kansas to Stanley “Solly” and Wilma (Hugg) Sollenberger. She married Bruce C. Evans on March 24, 1993, in Tennessee.

Connie worked for Brown Foreman in Louisville, Ky. as a financial analyst and as office secretary at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church. She served as a member of the Fairmount Cemetery Board of Directors and the Dubois County Community Foundation’s IMPACT committee. She was a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing games and spending time with family and friends.

Connie was a loving wife and mother and a caring soul to all of those around her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Bruce C. Evans, who passed away December 1, 2007; and one stepson, Colin Evans.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Toby (Nicole Williams) Barber of San Francisco, Cali.; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Judy (Rod) Cobb of Walton, Kentucky and Becky Alvarez of Salina, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Connie J. Evans will be held at 11:00 a.m. EDT Saturday, September 3rd, 2016, at the Huntingburg United Methodist Church in Huntingburg, Indiana. Pastor Lee Campbell will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT Friday, September 2nd, 2016.
