Community Foundation grant supports Celestine Volunteer Fire Department’s efforts to purchase new fire engine

A $30,000 grant from the Dubois County Community Foundation is supporting the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department’s efforts to procure a new fire engine.
The department made a post on Facebook about the importance of the grant.
The new engine will replace the existing 2003 model. This grant is the second the department has received to support the purchase. They also received a $20,510 grant from TC Energy–the gas pipeline operator–to enable the department to outfit its new engine through TC Energy’s “Build Strong” program.
