Cody Lane Booker, 27, Winslow

Cody Lane Booker, 27, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and close friends.

Cody came into this world on June 19, 1997 with his twin brother Cory. He was born to Don and Tina Booker.

Cody was engaged to the love of his life, Lindsay Davis, and planned to be married on November 29th, 2025. Cody became a wonderful father to Lindsay’s son, Elliot.

Cody loved life and enjoyed everything to the fullest. In his short 27 years, he made many friends who will never forget him. His hobbies included cornhole, bow fishing, having a good time, playing football with Elliot, and, more recently, playing golf with his brother, Cory.

He graduated Pike Central High School in 2016. Cody worked for Savage Railroad Company and was a faithful employee. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Petersburg. He was also a Trustee of the Petersburg Moose Lodge #1617 and loved spending time there.

 Cody made the heroic decision to become an organ donor through Donate Life Indiana and has saved many lives because of his choice. He will forever be our hero because of this decision. 

Cody is survived by his parents, Don and Tina (Weisman) Booker of Petersburg; twin brother, Cory (Nikki) Booker of Winslow; three sisters, Brandi (Justin) Lindley and Heather (Larry) Smith of Winslow, and Keylie (Simon) Rojas of Florida; his grandmother, Lana Weisman of Petersburg; his fiancee, Lindsay Davis and special son, Elliot, of Petersburg; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly. 

Preceding Cody in death are his grandfather, Larry Weisman, grandmother, Lillian Halbert, and grandfather, Harold Booker. 

Cody was loved by so many and will be missed by everyone who has met him. 

Cody’s visitation will be Sunday, June 30th, from 3 to 8 p.m. EST at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg. A service to celebrate Cody’s life will be on Monday, July 1, 2024, starting at 11 a.m. EST at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Following the service, Cody will be laid to rest at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, IN. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lindsay and Elliot Davis.
