Cletus P. Boehm, 89

Cletus P. Boehm, age 89, of Jasper, passed away at 1:40 p.m., Thursday (April 12, 2012) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.
He was born on November 25, 1922 in Fulda, Indiana to August and Clara (Nielander) Boehm. He married Alberta C. (Strobel) Boehm on June 10, 1947 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dale, Indiana. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2010.
Cletus was a World War II Army Veteran, who participated in the Normandy Beach Campaign. He worked at the Dubois REC for 41 years, and he was a superintendant during many of those years. He also volunteered at Tri-Cap.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, the Holy Name Society, the V.F. W. Post #673, the American Legion #147, and the Jasper K of C.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and dancing.

Preceding him in death besides his wife, two sisters, Corina Hildenbrand and Esther Harpenau, three brothers, Karl, Edward, and Sylvester Boehm.
Funeral services for Cletus P. Boehm will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday (April 17, 2012) at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum. The V.F.W. Post #673 will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call from from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Monday (April16, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
