Cletus Hubert Jr., 59, St. Croix

Cletus Hubert Jr., 59, passed away Thursday, September 29, in St. Meinrad.

Born in Tell City, on June 29, 1963 to Cletus Hubert Sr. and Leona (Hauser) Hubert.

He was a 1981 Perry Central High School graduate, where he ran cross country and was the basketball student manager. Cletus was active at St. Augustine Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked at the St. Meinrad Archabbey as a custodian for 41 years.

He is survived by his siblings, Paul J. (Pam) Hubert of Apalona, John M. Hubert of Jasper, and Mary Tanner of Evanston; and several nieces and nephews.

Cletus is preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 5, at 9 a.m. CST at the St. Meinrad Archabbey Church. Presiding were Archabbot Kurt Stasiak OSB and Homily by Fr Denis Robinson OSB.

Visitation was held Tuesday October 4, 2022, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST, and on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 8 a.m. until mass at the St. Meinrad Archabbey. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery in Leopold.
