Cleo A. Hall, 93, Crystal

Cleo A. Hall, 93, of Crystal, passed away at 4:54 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020, at home surrounded by family. 

Cleo was born in Hillham, Indiana, on October 2, 1927, to John and Ora Etta (Archer) Hall. He married Lillian Gertrude Wininger on June 14, 1952. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2009. 

Cleo was a medic on the Army hospital ship, “USS Hope” in the Pacific. Cleo was a school bus driver, farmer, construction worker, and maintenance man for Medco Centers. 

He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet L. (Ivan) Smith of Dubois and Regina (Dave) Thomas of Georgetown; two sons, Larry (Clara) Hall of Dubois and John (Rose Ann) Hall of Dubois; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Clarence Marie Elkins, Marian Ragains and Martha Hall; companion, Zola Gray; and his beloved puppy, Prissy. 

Preceding him in death besides his wife are two granddaughters, Jolene Hall and Jill Hall Ernst. 

A private family service for Cleo A. Hall will be held at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel with burial to follow in Cuzco Cemetery in Cuzco, Indiana. The VFW Post #673 will perform military graveside rites. Pastor Jack Wilson will officiate. 

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana. Masks and social distancing will be required.
