Cleda A. Wening, age 82 of Jasper, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday (January 23, 2013) in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born July 1, 1930 in Boone Township to George Wening Jr. and Nora Hoffman Wening.

Cleda had worked for General Electric in Huntingburg and Tell City Indiana for many years, and had also worked for Kimball Upholstery in Jasper.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.

Two sisters,

  • Wilma Schnarr, Jasper, IN
  • Clara Eichmiller, Haysville, IN

Preceding her in death was a brother Herbert Wening.

Funeral services for Cleda Wening will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (January 25, 2013) in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The Rev. Charla Grieves will officiate.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
