Claude E. Rees, 86
Claude E. Rees, age 86 of Jasper, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Friday (December 21, 2012) at home.
Claude was born on November 27, 1926 to Bernard and Francis (Burke) Rees. He married Dorothy Mehringer on October 14, 1947 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, IN.
He was an Army Veteran who served during WWII. He worked for Jasper Cabinet Co. for over 40 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #147, the Ireland Sportsman’s Club, and Jasper Outdoor Recreation.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and I.U. Basketball Fan. He coached little league and men’s softball.

Preceding Claude in death are two brothers, Robert and Clarence Rees.
Funeral services for Claude Rees will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday (December 24,2012) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, IN with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The American Legion Post 147 will conduct military gravesite rites.
Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday (December 23, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
