Claretta “Catty” Ash, 81
Claretta “Catty” Ash, age 81, passed away at 4:14 p.m. on Tuesday (December 4, 2012) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN.
Catty was born in Ireland, Indiana on November 1, 1931 to Leo and Rosina (Giesler) Hoffman. She had two marriages. The first was to Alton J. Harker in June of 1954. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1971. The second was to Elvis N. Ash on August 22, 1988. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2003.
Catty was a homemaker, and also worked as a bookkeeper for many years.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the St. Ann’s Society, and the Daughters of Isabella, and a member of the Stephen Ministry.
She enjoyed singing in the choir, playing golf, and cooking.

Funeral services for Catty Ash will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday (December 10, 2012) at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Jasper, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ireland, IN.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday (December 9, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Ann’s Society will say a rosary at 3:45 p.m.
