Christmas Journey to parade through Huntingburg Saturday

Destination Huntingburg will be hosting “A Christmas Journey” this Saturday, December 2 at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s event will start at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 313 N. Washington.

The St. Mary’s Youth Praise Choir will be singing Christmas carols in the candlelit church from 6:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. The Three Wise Men will lead the Candlelit Christmas Parade from St. Mary’s down Huntingburg’s Historic 4th Street and end at Salem United Church of Christ.

Anyone wishing to watch the parade from 4th Street will be encouraged to join in the parade procession as it passes by.

As the Christmas Parade concludes at Salem United Church of Christ, the “Starry Night in Bethlehem” marketplace will open. Join and interact with people who share the Christmas Story and discover what life was like during the time when Jesus was born. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available to visit with children.

All ages are welcome. A shuttle service will be available from Salem United Church of Christ back to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for those walking the entire parade route.
