Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – Freezer Batch

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – Freezer Batch
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup granular sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Equipment:
- 2 large mixing bowls
- measuring cups
- measuring spoons
- hand or stand mixer
- mixing spoon
- waxed paper or freezer paper
- baking stone or baking sheet
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large mixing bowl cream butter with a hand mixer. Add brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla then mix again until well combined. Next, add eggs one at a time being sure to mix well after each addition. In a separate mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients except chips. Stir the dry ingredients until all are well combined. Add dry mixture to butter mixture one cup at a time, mixing well between each addition. Finally add the chocolate chips and stir by hand until evenly distributed.
To Freeze: Line baking tray or cutting board with waxed paper or freezer paper. Scoop cookie dough out and drop on lined cookie sheet leaving space between each one so they will not stick together. (I use a metal dough scoop to keep my cookies more uniform in size but you can use a Tablespoon for this as well.) Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for about 1 – 1 ½ hours or until cookie dough is frozen. Remove cookies from cookie sheet and place them in a freezer safe container with a lid and label with date and cooking instructions.
To Bake: Place frozen cookie dough on baking stone or prepared cookie sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. Place cookies in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled. I usually make a large batch for the freezer.
