Cheryl L. Young, 51

Cheryl L. Young, age 51, of Birdseye, passed away at 5:56 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Young, also of Birdseye, IN; her mother, Ruby Doore and stepfather Phil Doore of Bloomington, IN; her father, Donald Choate of Indianapolis; her sister Elaine Choate of Indianapolis; her brother, Jeff Choate of Indianapolis; and her dear friend and mother-in-law, Evelyn Young.

Cheryl was born on January 27, 1961 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to Donald and Ruby Rickenbaugh Choate. She married Kenneth Young at Birdseye Christian Church on December 10, 1977.

She was employed for 21 years as a finish sprayer for DMI Furniture at Ferdinand.

She and her husband Kenneth were active with the Pine Ridge Little League Program.

Funeral services for Cheryl Young will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow in the Mentor Cemetery. The Rev. Al Madden will officiate the funeral services.

Friends may call for visitation at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.
