Charlotte I. Sturdevant, 75, Jasper

Charlotte I. Sturdevant, 75, Jasper, passed away at 10:24 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Charlotte was born in Jasper, Indiana on April 26, 1941, to Kenneth and Kathleen (Reed) Ahrens. She married Lowell Dale Sturdevant on December 21, 1979, in Franklin, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1999.

Charlotte was a cook for the K of C, and she also worked at the Providence Home in Jasper for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper. She enjoyed playing bingo, loved coloring and watching I.D. TV.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Lynn Kluesner and her husband Herman of Jasper, Julie Renee Heichelbec of Huntingburg and Tina Diane Gill of Jasper; two sons, David Wade Rothrock and his wife Deb of Huntingburg and Clinton Jeffery Rothrock and his wife Sherry of Loogootee; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Faye Williams of Evansville and Stephanie Taber of Jasper.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one daughter, Lisa Christine Hubert, one son, David Allen Rothrock, two sisters, Pamela Vonderheide and Rosemary Heichelbech, and three brothers, Kenneth Zeke, Ronald, and Errol Wayne Ahrens.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Charlotte I. Sturdevant will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with burial to follow in Enlow Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
