Charlotte A. Klem, 79, of Jasper, passed away at 6:45 p.m. CST on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville.

Charlotte was born in Jasper on March 31, 1938, to Lawrence and Lorena (Werner) Schneider.  She married Cornelius L Klem on October 5, 1957, in Holy Family Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2003.

Charlotte retired as an administrative assistant from Masterbrand Cabinets in Ferdinand. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and their Blessed Virgin Sodality. She served on the Holy Family Bereavement Committee, was a  sacristan and delivered communion to the homebound. She also volunteered at Brookside Village Retirement Community. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and candle wicking and spending time with family.

Surviving is one daughter, Jacquelyn Klem of Jasper; one grandson, Dylan Klem; one sister, Sharon Hopf (Arnie) of Ireland; three brothers, Tom L. Schneider (Carol) of Eckerty, Allen R. Schneider (Kathy) of Jasper and Don Schneider (Marsha) of Jasper; nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death beside her husband and parents are two brothers, Ronald “Butch” Schneider and Robert Schneider.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Charlotte A. Klem will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.  The Holy Family Blessed Virgin Sodality will pray the rosary at 8:45 a.m. at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
