Charles E. McNichols, 87, Jasper

Charles E. McNichols, 87, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2019, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. 

Charles was born in Taylorsport, Ky., on February 15, 1932, to Thomas and Francis (Said) McNichols. He married Cordelia Snelling on November 3, 1951. She preceded him in death on September 29, 2018. 

He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Railroad Batallion. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railway for 35 years. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and was a Shriner.

He is survived by one daughter, Sharon K. Kelley and companion, Dustan Zentler, of Jasper; one son, Charles Douglas McNichols of Missouri; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Roy McNichols of South Carolina.

Preceding him in death besides his wife, one son-in-law, Donald Kelley and two sisters. 

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
