Charles D. Fraze, 77, of Huntingburg, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 7:20 a.m.

Charlie was born on November 28, 1948, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to James and Jean (Paul) Fraze.
He married Jennifer Sue Denbo on January 24, 1970, in English, Indiana.
Charlie entered the US Navy Seabees Construction Battalion 133 as a Third Class Petty Officer in November of 1968. He served one tour in Vietnam and ended the tour of duty in October of 1970.
He graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education. He taught 30 years, starting out in the Greater Jasper School District and moved to the Southwest Dubois County School District. For the last 15 years of his career, he was the Southwest Dubois Building Trades instructor, teaching Junior and Senior students from all over the county the skill of building houses.
He was a member of the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene and VFW Post #2366 of Huntingburg.
Charlie enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and talking to everyone about turkey and deer seasons.
He and Sue loved to travel and spend time with family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; and one sister, Janice Holzbog.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jennifer Sue Fraze of Huntingburg; children, Jeff (Amy) Fraze of Huntingburg, Kimberly (Roger) Kissling of Ocoee, Florida and Greg (Lisa) Fraze of Velpen; grandchildren, Emma, Megan, Allison, Taylor and Ryan; step-grandchildren, Alec, Joey and Tyson; by great grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Janet) Fraze of Leavenworth; by nieces and nephew.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from
4:00 -7:00 p.m., EDT, on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will take place at Hamilton Cemetery near English.
