Charles “Charlie” Winsted, 75, died Aug. 20, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

He was born in Winslow to the late Charles L. and Pearl (Hurt) Winsted on August 30, 1940. He was a 1959 graduate of Winslow High School. He married Bonnie Brust in 1958 and was married for 58 years.

Charles worked at Hurst in Princeton, Whirlpool in Evansville and IPALCO in Petersburg where he retired after 26 years. He was a fifty-year member of Winslow Masonic Lodge 260 F.&A.M. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Charlie is survived by his wife Bonnie; three daughters, Marla (Mike) Woolsey of Newburgh, Melanie Winsted of Newburgh and Mindi (Bob) Waggoner of Lamar; six grandsons, Seth and Heath Woolsey, Alex and Austin Hill and Matthew and Tyler Waggoner; two great grandsons, Ian and Aiden Woolsey; a sister, Saundra Winsted of Rosedale, Ind.; a brother-in-law, James (Bev) Brust of Newburgh; and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Kelly Campbell

Graveside services are planned for Wednesday Aug. 24, 2016, at 12 p.m. CST at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Winslow.

Visitation is Tuesday Aug. 23, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. CST at Fuller Funeral Home.
