Chad Ring, 51, Holland

Chad Ring, 51, of Holland, passed away on August 31, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, after a brief illness.

Chad was born on October 31, 1974, to Janet Ring. 

He graduated from Southridge High School in 1993 and owned Ring Rocketry in Holland. He was a member of Augustana United Church of Christ in Holland. Chad was the founder and charter member of Launch Crue Rocket Club in Holland for 36 years, with the club holding monthly meetings and rocket flights; judged rockets for 4-H and hosted U of E students for demonstrations and instruction. He attended national rocket competitions held throughout the United States. His career included national records and the NARAM National Record Book. Launch Crue took home the United States national championship. Chad was also an avid NASCAR and F1 fan. 

Chad is survived by his mother, Janet Ring; uncle, Charlie (Dana) Ring; cousins, Lila Schmaker, Dr. Christopher Ring, Kelsey (Andrew) Vaught, Kourtney (James) Southworth and children; and loving and longtime friend, Stacey Humbert.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Augustana United Church of Christ in Holland, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Augustana Cemetery. Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate the services.
