Celestine celebrates St. Nicholas Day with tree lighting ceremony

Celestine celebrated St. Nicholas Day by lighting the community Christmas Tree Sunday.

Several hundred kids and adults gathered to see Santa Claus arrive aboard a Celestine Volunteer Fire Department truck.

Deacon Mike Siebert gave a blessing before lighting the tree. Then the children were able to meet with Santa and have cookies and hot cocoa.
