Cecelia (Meyer) Kiefer, 83

Cecelia (Meyer) Kiefer, 83 of Ferdinand died Sunday January 6th at her home in Ferdinand.

She was born October 4, 1929 in St. Meinrad, IN to Louie and Katherine (Bertke) Meyer. She married Roman Keifer on July 1, 1950 in St. Meinrad Archabbey Church.

Cecelia was a member of The Fleet Reserve Auxillary # 105 in Owensboro, Jasper V.F.W. Auxillary # 673, Jasper. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and embroidery. She retired as a rest area worker and kitchen worker at St. Meinrad Archabbey.

Surviving are her husband, Roman Kiefer; one son, Terry L. Kiefer of Wheatland, IN; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Randy Kiefer, and two brothers, Frank Meyer and a twin, Billy Meyer, in infancy.

Funeral services 10 a.m. central time Thursday in St. Meinrad Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. central time Wednesday at Becher Funeral Home, Ferdinand, and from 9 to 10 a.m. central time Thursday at the church.
