Cathy J. Sturgeon, 56

Cathy J. Sturgeon, age 56, of Dubois, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at home.

Cathy was born in Jasper on December 13, 1956 to Amos and Cecelia (Schneweis) Hemmerlein.

She worked for Kimball Electronics in Jasper for 38 years.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose, and assisted with Dubois County Relay for Life.

She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with the grandkids.

She is survived by two daughters, Cori Sturgeon and Kristi Cottom and husband Andrew,  both of Dubois; one brother, Don Hemmerlein and his wife Sue, of Celestine; one sister, Rosie Knies and her husband John, of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren, Alexis Sturgeon, and Faith, Rhylee Jo, and Corbin Cottom.

Preceding her in death besides her parents is one son, Jesse Jo Sturgeon.

Funeral services for Cathy Sturgeon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois, IN, with burial to follow at a later date.

Friends may call from 8:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois.
