Catherine M. Rasche, 92

Catherine M. Rasche, 92, of Jasper, passed away at 6:58 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, in Brookside Village in Jasper.

She was born June 12, 1922 in Jasper to Bernard and Elizabeth (Miller) Kluemper. She married Francis Rasche April 24, 1951. He preceded her in death August 7, 2000.

She worked for the Jasper Wood Products for many years. Catherine is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She loved to sew and quilt.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty Johnson and husband Daniel of Jasper; six sons, Albert V. Rasche, Elmer Rasche and wife Joyce, Emil Rasche, Delmar Rasche and wife Donna, and Dave Rasche and wife Lynn, all of Jasper and Bernie Rasche and wife Amy of Ireland; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one brother, Linus Kluemper of Jasper.

Preceding her in death beside her husband are one sister, Marie Sander and two brothers, Ralph and Tony Kluemper and daughter-in-law, Virlee T. Rasche.

Funeral services for Catherine Rasche will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. by the D of I’s at the funeral home.
