Cathedral Health Care Center celebrates first CNA class with 100% pass rate
JASPER, IN — November 2, 2026 — Cathedral Health Care Center announced the successful completion of its inaugural Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training class, with all four participants completing the program and passing their certification examinations.
The achievement marks an exciting milestone for Cathedral Health Care Center as the facility expands its commitment to healthcare education, workforce development, and creating career opportunities within the community.
The CNA training program combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical experience, preparing participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care in a longterm care setting. Students receive training in resident care, safety, communication, and the essential responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant.
As a skilled nursing facility with a specialized focus on behavioral and mental health, Cathedral recognizes the importance of preparing caregivers to meet a wide range of resident needs. The training emphasizes not only the clinical skills required of nursing assistants but also the compassion, patience, and understanding that are essential to providing individualized care.
“We couldn’t be more proud of our first graduating class,” said Alli Betz, administrator of Cathedral Health Care Center. “Each of these individuals put in the time, effort, and dedication it takes to complete this program. Having all four pass their certification examinations is an incredible way to begin this new chapter at Cathedral.”
The successful completion of the first class represents more than an educational achievement. It is an investment in the future of local healthcare and an opportunity to introduce more individuals to a profession that plays an essential role in the lives of residents and their families.
“Certified Nursing Assistants are such an important part of the care we provide every day,” Betz added. “We want to give people the opportunity to enter this field, develop their skills, and build a career they can be proud of. Seeing our first four students succeed is exactly what we hoped this program would accomplish.”
With its first class achieving a 100% pass rate, Cathedral Health Care Center looks forward to building upon the program’s success and continuing to support the growth of skilled, compassionate healthcare professionals in the community.
