Cathedral Health Care Center celebrates 100% pass rate in first QMA Class
Cathedral Health Care Center is proud to celebrate a milestone in its commitment to growing and supporting healthcare professionals from within the community.
Cathedral recently completed its first Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) class, with all three participants, Shelby Hawthorne, Kylie Craig, and Amy Bright, successfully passing the program.
“This is an exciting first for Cathedral,” said Alli Betz, administrator. “Shelby, Kylie, and Amy put in the work, supported one another, and set the bar for the classes that will follow. We’re incredibly proud to see all three of them succeed.”
The QMA program provides Certified Nursing Assistants with additional education and training that allows them to administer certain medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Offering this training creates another opportunity for healthcare professionals to continue developing their skills and advancing their careers. For Cathedral, the program is also an investment in strengthening the local healthcare workforce and creating opportunities for employees to grow without having to leave the community.
Following the success of its inaugural class, Cathedral plans to offer its next QMA class in 2027, with dates and additional information to be announced.
