Category 14 Fertilizer Applicator Training and Testing

The Purdue Extension – Dubois County, Purdue Pesticide Programs and the Office of the Indiana State Chemist will host a Category 14 Ag. Fertilizer applicator training and testing session for local farmers requiring manure applicator licensing. Training will occur at the Dubois County 4-H Fairground Office near Bretzville, IN on Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM EST, with testing scheduled from 6:00-7:30 PM EST. The test is a multiple answer exam taken from the agricultural fertilizer manual, and a valid government issued photo identification and single line calculator are required.

No materials will be provided, but needed manual, instructions and additional training site locations are available on-line through the Purdue Pesticide Programs site at: www.ppp.purdue.edu.

Pre-registration is required for this event, with space limited to 100 participants. Registration for the Dubois County testing site can be made through the Purdue Extension – Dubois County office at ph.(812)482-1782, with no fee for the exam at the time of the test.
