Carolyn N. Snyder, 86, Jasper

Carolyn N. Snyder, 86, of Jasper, passed away at 8:39 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

Carolyn was born in Jasper on May 11, 1935, to John and Hattie (Bauer) Harker.  

She married Edward Snyder on July 24, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1993.

She worked in the Food Services department at Memorial Hospital in Jasper for many years. Carolyn was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper and a member of the VFW Post #673 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time with family.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Englert (Dave) of Ferdinand and Sandra Goodwin of Haysville; one son, Mark Snyder (Peggy) of Ireland; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was one stillborn son, Bradley Wayne Snyder, and one sister, Alene Taber.

Funeral services for Carolyn N. Snyder will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 4pm until 7pm on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, and from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. service time at the church on Wednesday.

Masks and social distancing will be required for the visitation and service at the church.
