Carolyn L. Caudill, 88, Jasper

Carolyn L. Caudill, 88, of Jasper, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana. 

Carolyn was born in Elryia, Ohio on July 7, 1932, to Clarence O. and Marie E. (Becker) Burill. She married Ellis Caudill on August 8, 1952, he preceded her in death on July 27, 2013. 

She graduated from the MB Johnson School of Nursing in Ohio where she received a full scholarship. She did private duty nursing in Ohio and Indiana. She was director of nursing at the Arcadia Children’s Home and worked in various hospitals around the area as an ER Nurse. She was a charismatic Christian and her most recent church affiliation was The Door of Hope in Jasper. She immensely enjoyed taking care of children and was instrumental in the lives of many young people. 

She is survived by two daughters, Melanie McBane (Larry) Fredette of Jasper and Kimberly Daugherty of Jasper; three sons; Mark (Cathy) Caudill of Noblesville, Kevin Caudill of Jasper, and Curtis (Kelli) Farrell-Caudill of Washington State; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Darlene Lewis of Elryia, Ohio. 

Preceding her in death besides her parents are four sisters, Mary Martin, Bernice LaPointe, Phyllis Roth, and Pat Critchfield, two brothers, Clarence and Robert Burill.   

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
