Carol M. Pfister, 64, Jasper, passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at home.

Carol was born in Jasper, Indiana, on August 21, 1951, to Raymond and Clarissa (Burke) Hochgesang. She married John L. Pfister on July 14, 1973, in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 30, 2011.

Carol was president and co-owner of Dubois County LP Gas for 39 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper and the Jasper High School Class of 1969. She was an avid I.U. basketball fan. She enjoyed playing dominos with friends, traveling and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Audra Fleck and her husband Adam of Jasper; one son, Aaron Pfister and his wife Beth of Ireland; two grandchildren, Sawyer and Hudson Pfister; two sisters, Kathy Fuhs of Jasper and Donna Welp and her husband John of St. Anthony; two brothers, Joe Hochgesang and his wife Sarah of Jasper and Mark Hochgesang and his wife Brenda of Jasper.

Funeral services for Carol M. Pfister will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, in St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. St. Joseph’s Parish will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
