Carol L. Winkler, 83, Jasper

Carol L. Winkler, 83, of Jasper, passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Carol was born in Jasper on November 14, 1934, to Carl and Aline (Arnold) Winkler.

She retired from WITZ Radio Station in Jasper after 53 years of service. She also worked part-time at the Astra Theater in Jasper for many years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

She enjoyed bowling, visiting the casino and was an avid Chicago Cubs and I.U. Basketball fan.

Surviving are two sisters, Doris Gutzweiler (Jerry) of Jasper and Joyce Brandt of Jasper; two brothers, Gerald L. Winkler (Donna) of Detroit and Paul Winker (Diane) of Jasper; six nieces; four nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Ann Therese Winkler who died in childbirth.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol L. Winkler will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana with entombment to follow at Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
