Carol “Jeanie” Striegel, age 68, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Sunday (October 28, 2012)at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
She was born September 9, 1944 at Holland, Indiana to Louis J. and Leona A. (Boeglin) Lueken. She married Kenneth Striegel August 1, 1964 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
Carol worked as a medical secretary for many years for Dr. Thomas Gootee and later as office manager for Dr. Walter Hancock in Jasper and Evansville.
She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Daughters of Isabella and the St. Ann’s Society and the Grandmothers club.
Her hobbies were Bingo and playing cards also did volunteer work at Northwood Retirement Community.

Nine grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is one son, Scott L. Striegel and one sister, Nancy Lueken.
Funeral services for Carol Striegel will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, (November 2, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday (November 1, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. by the D of I’s and the St. Ann’s Society at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the – Providence Home.
