Carol J. Schwindel, 81

Carol J. Schwindel, age 81, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 9:20 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Owensboro Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.
She was born February 27, 1932 in Dale, Indiana to Leo P. and Helen B. (Purviance) Bosler.
She was united in marriage to Gilbert C. Schwindel, Jr. on August 21, 1952 at the Saint Meinrad Archabbey.
Carol retired from the Huntingburg Convalescent Center where she worked as a Q.M.A.. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Patoka Homemakers and the V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary; she was a past director of the Huntingburg Meals on Wheels Program; and enjoyed quilting and scrapbooking.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Leo Bosler; her mother, Helen Bosler Schaefer; and her husband of 60 years, Gilbert C. Schwindel Jr., who passed away February 15, 2013.

Funeral services for Carol J. Schwindel will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Huntingburg.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday. A parish rosary prayer service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday afternoon and a V.F.W. Post #2366 Auxiliary memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
