Carol Breitwieser, 71
Carol Breitwieser, age 71, of Jasper, passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Sunday, January 26,2014, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
Carol was born on August 17, 1942 in Birdseye, IN to James and Francis (Snyder) Dillman.
She married Edwin Breitwieser on November 15, 1958 at Birdseye Christian Church in Birdseye.
Carol worked as a Dietary Technician at Northwood Retirement Community for 22 years, and previously worked for Sara Lee for 15 years. She was also a homemaker.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, where she served on the church council and various other positions.
She enjoyed gardening, landscaping, planting flowers, feeding and watching birds, and also enjoyed antiquing and attending flea markets.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Breitwieser, of Jasper; daughter, Stacy Harper and her husband Heath, of Santa Claus; five sons, Kerry Breitwieser and his wife Terri, of Jasper, Curt Breitwieser and his wife Cheryl, of Dubois, Greg Breitwieser and his wife Jeanna, of Dubois, Kevin Breitwieser and his wife Robin, of Jasper, and James Breitwieser and his wife Julie, of Jasper; 10 grandchildren – Eric, Adam, and Krista Breitwieser, Joshua, Kyle, and Rachel, Breitwieser, Ethan and Austin Breitwieser, and Ty and Jesse Harper; three step-grandchildren – William Canary, Brandie Petry, and Ryan Smith; three great-grandchildren – Nora Breitwieser, Harper Breitwieser, and Grady Breitwieser four step great-grandchildren – Laney Vaughn, Liam Petry, Breck Smith, and Kai Smith.
Preceding her in death is one sister, Amanda Partenheimer, and two brothers, Merle and Chester Dillman.
Funeral services for Carol Breitwieser will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville, with burial to follow at Emanuel Hill Church Cemetery in Dubois. Pastor Timothy Kraemer will officiate.
Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, IN, and one hour before services at the church.
