Carla A. Toney, 68, Winslow

Carla A. Toney, 68, of Winslow, passed away at 5:33 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. 

Carla was born in Oakland City, Indiana, on June 14, 1953, to Donald and Sara (Barnett) O’Neill.  

She married Stanley Toney on September 10, 1971, in Mt. Olive Church in Cato, Indiana. 

She was a 1971 graduate of Otwell High School. 

She previously worked at the HR Block in Petersburg preparing taxes, and then most recently as an ER Greeter at Memorial Hospital, where she had worked for over 18 years. 

Carla enjoyed doing craftwork, arranging flowers, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Toney of Winslow; one sister, Elaine Fair of Petersburg; one brother, Donald (Nancy) O’Neill of Cannelburg, Ind.; nieces and nephews, and several step-siblings. 

Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother-in-law, Brad Fair. 

A funeral service for Carla A. Toney will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in New Lebanon Cemetery in Otwell, Indiana. 

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
