Carl R.  Walker, 72, Loogootee

Carl R.  Walker, 72, of Loogootee, Ind., passed away at 4:58 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center. 

He was born September 13, 1951, in Jasper, Indiana, to the late George K. and Marie M. (Arvin) Walker. 

Carl loved to work on the farm and play euchre. In his younger days, he enjoyed square dancing.

He retired from NSWC Crane after 20 years of employment. Carl was a member of the St. Martin Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, George W. (Linda) Walker, John Leo Walker, Joseph A. Walker, Michael J. Walker, Mary Ruth Walker and Polly Walker; brother-in-law, Larry G. Bair; nephews, Jason and Trenton Bair.

Carl is survived by his siblings, Rebecca L. Bair, Cindy (Jay) Smith and Peggy L. Walker, all of Loogootee; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Borden and Ilene Walker.

Carl wished to be cremated, and no services will be held.
