Carl Andrew Cato, 52, Winslow

Carl Andrew Cato, 52, of Winslow, passed away at 7:44 p.m., on Friday, April 8, 2016, at his home.

He was born October 28, 1963, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Yulin Gene and Wilma Mae (Quackenbush) Cato.

Carl was a coal miner for Peabody Coal Company and enjoyed horseback riding.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (maiden name, Wheatley) Cato of Winslow; one daughter, Tasha Cato (companion, Benny Thomas) of Winslow; one son, Zachary Ryan Cato of Winslow; four sisters, Mrs. Jeanie (Jerry) Fuesler of Huntingburg, Bonita Smith (companion, Bill Hamm) of Oakland City Angela Cummins (companion, Fred Lucas) of Velpen and Rebecca Cato (companion, Jim Cutler) of Winslow; and two granddaughters, Nevaeh McGee and Ravynne Cato.

Funeral services for Carl A. Cato will be held at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen. Pastor Denny Wiscaver will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. EDT on Monday.
