Cara Lee Schwartz, 71

Cara Lee Schwartz, age 71, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 9:14 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at home with her family by her side.

She was born December 23, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana to C. Jack and Ruby Lee (Buck) Buschkill.

She married Alan E. Schwartz on July 11, 1964 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Evansville.

Cara graduated from Indiana State University where she was active in the Chi Omega Sorority; was a former special education school teacher; and most recently served as Director of the Huntingburg Senior Citizens Center.

Throughout her life Cara was always an enthusiastic participant in church activities; whether at Salem United Church of Christ where she was a former church council president or Central Christian Church where she currently held membership.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Alan E. Schwartz of Huntingburg; one daughter and son-in-law,Lisa (Bruce) Parks of Mason, Mich.; three grandchildren, Holly Parks, Joshua Parks and Katie Parks; one brother and sister-in-law, Louis (Pam) Buschkill of Evansville; and one sister and brother-in-law, Janel (Wilder) Allen of Evansville.

Funeral services for Cara Lee Schwartz will be held at 11:00 a.m., EST, on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Central Christian Church in Huntingburg. Her cremains will be interred at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg. Pastor Paul Newland and Pastor Brian Buschkill will officiate the services.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday; and also from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday morning, prior to the funeral service at Central Christian Church.
