Calvin Albert Haas, 69, Carmel (formerly Jasper)

Calvin Albert Haas, 69, of Carmel (formerly of Jasper), passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at home.

Cal was born in St. Meinrad on February 20, 1949, to Wilfrid V. Haas and Mary Rose Haas. He grew up in Huntingburg. He married Audrey M. Place on August 18, 2001.

Cal co-owned and retired from H&H Auto Sales in Jasper. He loved spending time with family and teasing his loved ones. He often quoted movies and loved to watch westerns. He was famous for his one liners. He never knew a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; mother, Mary Rose Haas; daughters, Dawn Knight (Jon) and Michelle Haas; stepchildren, Nicole Harrell (Jeremy), Hannah Fassett (Tim), Noah Place; grandchildren, AJ, Taylor, and Mackenzie Knight; step-grandchildren, Cameron and Alex Harrell, Zoey and Wyatt Fassett; sister, Connie Kuczynski (Andy); and three nephews and their families.

Calvin was preceded in death by his father, Wilfrid V. Haas.

A memorial service is being held at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson (ARN) Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., Zionsville, IN 46077 on Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 3 to 4 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
