Brien “Beanie” Lagle, 55, Loogootee

Brien “Beanie” Lagle, 55, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed away at 6:36 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown, in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born November 26, 1963, in Washington, Indiana, to the late John Oscar and Lucille (Bussinger) Lagle.

Brien loved spending time with his wife of 10 years, Cindy, and he loved her fiercely. He cherished each moment spent with his family and grandchildren and took Brayden on many lawn mower rides. Brien had a  a gift of teaching through example, even if it was the hard way. He took pride in being able to fix just about everything on his own. Brien was always there to help his family and friends. On any given weekend you could find Brien cooking and relaxing at his fire pit, also known as his outdoor living room.

He began his career in 1991 at Taber Owens, in Washington. He was a member of the Loogootee United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lagle, of Loogootee; sons, Brien Lagle, Jr. and wife Katelyn, of Huntingburg; Ben Lindsey and fiance Skylar Chestnut, and Brandon Lindsey, all of Loogootee; grandchildren, Mia and Brayden Lagle; siblings, Margie Cornett and husband Richard, of Loogootee; Charlene Cookson and husband Ara, of Machesney?Park, Illinois; and Marvin Lagle and wife Marilyn, of Shoals; nieces and nephews, Dustin Wolf and wife Sunshine, Brooke Gregory and husband Monty, Nathan Wolf and wife Valerie, Jennifer Tarvin and husband Dennis, John Lagle and wife Angie, Cary Asbell and wife Tammie, and Silas, John, and Erin Lancaster; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and sister-in-law, Mary Beth Lagle.

Brien was also preceded in death by sisters, Donna and husband Scott Wolfe and Lola Lagle; and brothers, John E. Lagle and Boyce Lagle.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11th, at the Loogootee United Methodist Church.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Loogootee United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Loogootee United Methodist Church Missions.
