Brian “Tony” Burton, 56, Jasper

Brian “Tony” Burton, 56, Jasper, passed away at 3:41 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on June 10, 1960 to Harold and Nancy (Buechlein) Burton. He married Kathy Clements on April 27, 2001.

Tony was a Jasper High School Graduate, Class of 1978. He also was a graduate of USI. He worked for ERS-OCI.

Brian was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Ireland Knight of Columbus, Jasper Outdoor Recreation Club, Dubois County Sportsman Club and the Dubois County EMA.

Tony was an Avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Burton; two sons, Brent Burton and wife Brandy of Jasper and Travis Burton of Jasper; two stepsons, Brian and Evan Howell of Bloomington; mother, Nancy Burton of Jasper; sister, Jill Cooper and husband Bart of Algiers, Ind.; Two nephews, Blake and Brady Cooper.

Preceding him in death is his father Harold Burton.

Funeral services for Brian Burton will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, in St. Mary‘s Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ireland.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2016, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
