Brian Robert Waddell, 52, Jasper

Brian Robert Waddell, 52, of Jasper, passed away surrounded by family at 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

Brian was born in Jasper on March 14, 1974, to Robert and Anne (Haas) Waddell.

He graduated from Jasper High School in 1992 and later graduated from Indiana State University.

He was a computer-integrated manufacturer for companies in Colorado and Indiana.

Brian was a proud father of two daughters and a beloved son and brother. He enjoyed family vacations, especially the annual trips to Holland, Michigan. He loved going to Indianapolis Colts games and enjoyed fishing with his daughters at Deerwood Lake.

He is survived by two daughters, Sydney and Sadie Waddell, both of Jasper; three sisters, Michelle (Bob) Stelling of Broomfield, Colo., Julie (Shawn) Gartside of Fort Collins, Colo. and Allison Jochum of Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are one aunt, Marilyn Haas Gutgsell Vinson; two uncles, Charles “Will” Haas and Kenny Waddell; one nephew, Phillip Haas; maternal grandparents, Ollie and Mary Anne Haas; and paternal grandparents, Edgar and Florence Waddell.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brian Robert Waddell will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. (noon) Mass time at the church on Friday.
