Brett R. Stout, 65, Huntingburg

Brett R. Stout, 65, of Huntingburg, passed away October 26, 2023, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on April 13, 1958 to Eddie and Ruth (Hoffman) Stout in Chicago, Illinois.

He married his former wife, and mother to their five children, Colleen (Peoples) Stout on December 10th, 1977. 

Brett was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball and Dallas Cowboys football fan. His idea of a perfect day included a M.A.S.H marathon and unlimited fudge pops.

Brett’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. 

Brett is survived by his fiance, Jeanie Rhoads; his sons, Brett (Misty) Stout, Cody Stout and Ethan (Jasmyn) Stout, and his daughters, Jami (Jonathan) Padgett and Olivia Stout; brothers, Albert (Phyllis) Madden, Danny (Brenda) Madden, and sister, Lauren Mollette; 18 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Brett is preceded in death by both his mother and father, sister Sharon Stout, brother James Stout, and granddaughter Khloe Padgett. 

Funeral services will be held at Anderson Valley Christian Church on Saturday November 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. 

Brett’s family is grateful for the care he received from Memorial Hospital and Heart to Heart Hospice.
