Brenda G. Gehlhausen, 75, Otwell

Brenda G. Gehlhausen, 75, of Otwell, passed away surrounded by family at 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Serenity Springs at Northwood.

Brenda was born in Washington, Ind., on July 20, 1950, to William and Una (Marlow) Russell. 

She married Clarence Gehlhausen Jr. on April 25, 1981, in Jasper, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2012.

She retired from Inwood, where she had worked for several years.

She was a past member of the Jasper Moose.

She is survived by three stepchildren, Sheila, Rod, and Chris; three sisters, Patsy Snyder of Freemont, Ohio, Lorene Jenkins of Otwell, and Cheryl Russell of Terre Haute; and two brothers, Larry Russell of Jasper and Darrell (Betty) Russell of Gosport, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband, are one son, Brett Egg; three sisters, Jennie Lee Burgess, Delores Utterbrink, and Madonna Ray; two brothers-in-law, Dick Snyder and Terry Jenkins; and one sister-in-law, Brenda Russell.

A funeral service for Brenda G. Gehlhausen will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Jasper.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service time at the funeral home on Friday, July 24, 2026.
